June

June is such a brilliant time to be alive.  Flowers.  Butterflies.  Bird song and green leaves and sunshine and fawns.

It's good to find joy in what you can, in such a time of shaking.  The world is upside down, but we are not.

(Romans 5:1-2) "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:  {2} By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God."

(1 Corinthians 16:13) "Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong."

(Ephesians 6:13) "Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."

(John 14:1) "Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me."

(John 14:27) "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."

Such consolation we have in His word.  An antidote for sure to the news screaming for our attention all day long!

I have been very quiet on this blog, mainly because I've been busy finishing up my Applique Club, and working on the quilt from my best friend.  July's patterns are written, the issue is ready - and it is the last one.  It's been quite a year!

July's patterns -

They will go out on June 30th, and your subscriptions will be cancelled automatically, you won't have to do a thing.

This will mark my retirement from pattern-making.  I have no idea what's next....but I am looking forward to it.

I bought myself a much nicer comfy chair to sit and quilt in.

Oops, forgot to take the plastic off the bottom of the chair!  It reclines, and swivels, so I don't have to push the footstool away.  I actually bought it online, from Wayfair, which was scary - but you know, it fits me so perfectly!  The lumbar hits at just the right spot, as does the head rest.  Amazing.  It's not a large chair - probably not good for a six foot man - but perfect for me.

Mum is doing well, her finger is still swollen but the pain has subsided.  Each of your joints has a capsule around it, filled with fluid, and sometimes that fluid can become inflamed and get very overfilled and painful - that's what happened to her finger.  I had it happen to a toe one time, after six weeks on crutches I went and had a shot in the joint - oh my.  I don't blame her for not wanting that.  She opted to wait it out, and it's working.  She's almost back to normal.  We really, really appreciate all of your prayers.

My guys are all back to work.  Life is slowly returning to normal, except I'm still avoiding the grocery stores and waiting for some things to come back into stock.  How is life in your neck of the woods?

My prayer is always for you, that you stay well, healthy, and strong in the Lord.  He is our Rock and the God of our salvation.

Love,
Allie

(Hebrews 12:22-29) "But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,  {23} To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,  {24} And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.  {25} See that ye refuse not him that speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from him that speaketh from heaven:  {26} Whose voice then shook the earth: but now he hath promised, saying, Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven.  {27} And this word, Yet once more, signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.  {28} Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:  {29} For our God is a consuming fire."
