Sleep....

Sleep that knits up the ravell'd sleave of care, the death of each day's life, sore labour's bath, balm of hurt minds, great nature's second course, chief nourisher in life's feast.
William Shakespeare, Macbeth, Act II, Scene 2

Wide awake at 4am.  Funny how strange my house seems at that hour - almost like it resents me being up.  At least til the sun comes up.  Maybe I've been reading too many murder mysteries, lol!!!!

Today is mum day.  I hope I don't fall asleep on her.  Although she usually falls asleep on me - we always end up here, having tea while she fills out her money orders, and then she sits in a comfy chair and goes right out!

At least I got a little work in.

I can't wait to start pulling fabrics for these!  Tomorrow for sure - I think I'll be going to bed very early tonight!  I'm already looking forward to it.

I hope you all have a lovely day, and that you got enough sleep....

Love,
Allie

Funny, I woke up around 4:30 this morning too. I ended up sewing and got a lot accomplished!

Sleep, that seems to be so elusive. I, too, have woken at 4 a.m. waited till 5 a.m. then up, coffee and emails etc. It is a lot easier in summertime, the daylight is there, the home is warm, not fire needs to be relit or stoked up, and the birds sing their morning greeting. Maybe in winter you will sleep longer. XXX from almost 6 a.m. down here in NZ.

Reading your post at 04:30...I'm not sure whether I am relating or commiserating. In either case, I'm glad for my little pup who is especially good company in the wee hours.

Sleep is a crazy thing these days. It truly has a mind of its own. LOL on the murder mysteries; I can't do those. Looks like you are making up something mighty pretty.

Whoa! What the heck?!? How things have flipped-flopped. I've been getting up at 7:30 each day for a month instead of what you girls are doing....which is soooo unusual for me. I'm not complaining because its been so nice. Hope that sweet sweet dreamtime comes soon for you.

I have those nights, and camping seems to have taken a lot of sleep time away, Bill snoring, people getting up too early, lol. I usually sleep in to catch up or at least am more tired the next night so I can fall asleep easier.
When it is nice, I love sitting on the porch and seeing the stars, always relaxes me enough to fall asleep.
