Nope, not there - that's the 30's pile. Somebody better get busy so I can make some baby quilts. You know who you are.
Found a few - but mostly solids and novelty fabrics, although you can't see the couch and floor piled with the rest of them. I did finally find them, got everything else sorted and into totes, then remembered I needed some autumn tone fabrics. Which means opening the 10 totes of novelty fabrics....I could cry.
One thing on my Christmas list is the Billy bookcases at Ikea, with doors. I think they might work to sort fabrics so I can find them without straining my back lifting totes. Do you use shelves to store your fabrics? Does it work well for you?
It's been such a busy week, I've had no time for actual sewing. Sunday my son and I went to Ikea, out to lunch, antiqueing and then the grocery store. We have this awesome store near us that is half antiques, half crafts, you can get a booth there to sell crafts...
One of my favorite booths -
We had great fun. Naturally everything I wanted cost the earth, lol, and I honestly don't need more stuff! It takes hours to go through it all, our feet still hurt.
Now that I have my tables cleared off, and can walk through my sewing room again, I think I'll fuse some batiks - I'm working on a pattern for September's Applique Club. As much as I love summer, I'm looking forward to decorating my house with autumn colors. Remember, if you want to get in on August's patterns, you have until tomorrow night at midnight to sign up! Click here > Applique Club, scroll down, and click subscribe.
Leaving you with a picture of mum from yesterday....somehow we always end up having tea at my house, no matter what we have going on that day!
cracks me up how big her hands look....
See you soon!!!!!
Love,
Allie
