Sadness

Hi everyone, I haven't been online much in the last week or so - on June 17th, I lost my best friend suddenly.  She had a heart attack while on vacation in Tennessee, and never recovered.

I miss her more than I can say.  We've talked almost every day for the last 16-17 years - she was family to me.  Please pray for her kids.

Needless to say, there's been no sewing going on.  I've been trying to help the kids clean out her house so they can sell it.  Her kids are amazing - I couldn't be prouder of them if they were my own.

The Most Gorgeous Thing

A shout-out to my most favorite designer in the world - Jenny of Elefantz.

More than a friend, she's the sister of my heart.  And talented beyond belief!!  This is her new BOM, Phyllis May's Kitchen, the most amazing memory book - or you could turn it into a quilt!  Filled with stitches, applique and lace-trimmed pockets for holding treasures.  

Go read about it and drool over the pages - simply the most scrumptious stitching I've ever seen.  She's taking sign-ups until midnight June 9th, so don't miss out!  I can't wait to get started on this one!!!!
