New Year, New Group

Hi everyone, I've created a new facebook group for sharing free designs.  It's called Allie-oops Designs, I'm going to try to link it....

It's a closed group, you have to request to join.  It seemed the simplest way to share freebies, as blogger doesn't support pdf's.  This is the only way I'll be sharing free designs anymore, at least until Facebook changes things.

I started my new year off right, I got the loveliest planner -

The best part?  It's large print!  I can actually see it!

No excuses now for forgetting anything, lol!  Thing 2 got me the loveliest pen as well - it's a vintage Scheaffer, new old stock [old, but never used], and it's a ballpoint!

Lovely to write with!  Oh and Thing 1 got me a ChromeCast and Google Home mini - yikes - it's smarter than I am.  But now I can sit in my chair and tell it to start Netflix or Youtube on my tv!  How lazy can you get, right?  On Christmas Eve, we had it playing a fireplace from youtube, and my mom walked in, looked at it, and said "it's getting warmer in here!"  Oh the power of positive thinking.

I'm still in my jammies, although I got up at 6am [no midnight parties here, lol], I hope you're enjoying the start of the new year the way you love best too.  So now, back to your regularly scheduled sewing....

Love,
Allie

All the best for your new Facebook venture. I don't have Facebook, or I would join too. Hope your day was happy. Your gifts were beautiful.

I will go sign up, it is nice that we can use facebook for groups now, easier to keep up with things.
I have Alexa, she seems a bit dumb to me, lol. And when I want to play music, it seems to be the same ones over and over. I do like it though, nice when I go to work on projects, I can just tell her what type to play and not have to put in a tape.

Happy New Year my friend - thank you for making this FB group. Looking forward to it.
I hope that you are able to figure out what to do now that Craftsy came down on everyone so hard.

I love your pretty planner..especially the BIG boxes. I will miss you...I left Facebook a few years ago after a nasty hack of my account----I just don't trust FB anymore. But I'll still read your blog posts. Have a blessed and prosperous 2019.
Blessings from WV, USA.

Ah yes, we have reached the age where large print is exciting to us . . . I'm there too! I also need to sometimes enlarge my desktop screen view to read some things. And you received a couple nice gifts from Thing 1 and Thing 2; very cool. I'm still mad at Craftsy for what they did. I saved all my patterns from my library. My pattern and class library still exist for me and I can sign in to bluprint the same as I did with Craftsy. I guess they call me a legacy member. That only allows me to use what I already have, without subscribing. I'm happy you managed to start a FB group for your free patterns. I will miss out on that because I do not use FB but as someone else said, I will still look forward to your blog posts!
Happy New Year!

Dear Allie, It sounds as if your holiday was lovely and cozy. Your pen looks "just right"--it's so important to have a pen that fits, isn't it? I'm settling in with my new planner this week and the world seems filled with possibilities.
No FB for me, but I'll always be here. Darn those folks at Craftsy! They've been pummeling me with enticements for sales and deals and groups, thinking I won't associate them with the way they've treated my favorite designers, I suppose. Think again, evil money-grubbers!
But enough of that. Thank you for checking in and starting our year off on a cheery note. Happy 2019 to you and yours.

Happy New Year. Oh you do know how to start off the new year don't you? I have the Amazon Dot similar to your Google Home Mini, (I think). I enjoy it so much. I ask it to "open devotionals" and hear a devotion each day. Or sometimes just tell me the verse of the day, the weather, jokes, occasionally a game. I think making it turn on the tv is great!

Unfortunately, I don't do FB, Tweet, Instagram, etc. Sorry I will miss your lovely patterns. Good luck with your new venture.

I used to have that exact pen - even the same color! I guess that means I'm vintage too! LOL! I'm on my way to Fb now.

Wonderful gifts! I love a calendar with large squares so I don't have to have an ultra micro pen to write in it. I also like paper I can highlight without it bleeding through to the other side. I never thought of it but gosh darn, I'm a calendar snob. The pen looks lovely. FB does change a lot anymore.

Goodness, hope you are all recovered from that nasty fall. But it could have been worse. I just went to your FB group...will enjoy being a member. Interesting gifts you got...no excuse now with that beautiful planner. I got one too; so far I have my name on it. A wonderful Happy New Year to you and to your Mom too.

Hi Allie,
I went right away to sign up. This year I was thinking I would do more hand stitching. Let's see how it goes.
Staying in your pajamas sounds awesome to me.
Hugs
