Happy Day is available in my shop for free here:
Obviously, I can't get enough birds lately, lol. This one didn't make the cut on the latest design I'm working on. I used fusible applique, and straight line stitching with my walking foot by machine. Which is now my favorite way to make something that won't get washed a lot! I'm no good at free-motion stitching, but the walking foot works GREAT. This could also be made by hand, with blanket stitch and hand embroidery, or completely with embroidery!
Our friendly coyote is terrorizing the deer population, yesterday he was hunting 6 bucks! In the afternoon, no less!
It's a regular Wild Kingdom out there! (Anybody remember that show? Or am I dating myself!)
Ok, off to get new glasses so I don't have to zoom with my camera to see what's out there....
See ya soon!!
Love,
Allie

Love your little birdie! He seems to be very happy. And WIld Kingdom indeed! I hope Mr Coyote's hunting is unsuccessful, at least in your yard!
Awesome photos, Allie! Love your birdie design - many thanks for sharing.
Love your birdie. And I don't often see that many bucks standing together. You do have a wild kingdom out there
Your/oops.. THE... coyote looks a bit skinny, but I guess in the wild, get food where you can. Hope the deer stay safe, never-the-less. Lovely wee bird, thanks for the pattern.
Love the birdie, so cute. Thankyou for sharing your pattern. Now i wait patiently for the next instalment of your wildlife show. It's been lovely seeing your photo's of the coyote, deer ect in your backyard. Hugs,xx
Oh boy those are truly handsome bucks--I hope they all survive and that darn coyote goes and finds some dinner somewheres else!!
enjoy, di

I think your little birdie is so pretty and adorable. I would love to make one. Thanks for letting us! As for Mister Friendly Coyote, he seems a bit hungry to me. Oh I love Wild Kingdom. I suppose I'm dating myself too. :-)
That is a sweet little design and would be fun to do.
I can't believe how bold the coyote is, especially during the day.

Your little birdie is a sweetie. Yay for extra zoomy vision!
Your deer and coyote pic's are amazing!!!! You had better get those new glasses so you can walk outside safely. :-)) Thanks for a new pretty design!
Sweet little bird and great photos of the coyote and the bucks. xx
Gracias! Que bello diseƱo!Gracias por compartir.
Yikes! I hope that coyote isn't as close to your house as your camera makes it look!! I wonder if the bucks have all congregated out in the open to distract the coyote from any young ones that may be in the woods. Do you have to notify any wildlife authorities that there is a coyote in your area? Or at least your neighbors?
Love the birdie pattern. Going to get that now. Thank you for sharing! I hope I have some fabric I can fussy cut to make it look as nice as your bird does.
Great pictures! Thanks for sharing!
Love your pattern. Can't wait to make it. My goodness you have a zoo in your yard! What fun!
I remember the "Wild Kingdom" show. Maybe you could start a safari business with your wild kingdom. Thanks for the birdie pattern.
Dear Allie,
Absolutely love the bird! I also have a fondness for sunflowers and that is what the flower reminds me of...thinking french knots in the center. Call me crazy but I have always enjoyed making french knots. I have never quite gotten the hang of a colonial knot.
That coyote certainly is brazen. I used to really enjoy Wild Kingdom. You certainly do have one.
Thank you so much for the lovely bird. Nice to have in my que of things I want to do.
Your bordje is do sweet! Love the wildlife in your back yard!
Gorgeous birdie Allie thank you for sharing
Oh how wonderful that you get to watch such wild drama. The walking foot is such a good tip.
I remember Wild Kingdom. I kept looking at that last picture, thinking you must have photo-shopped it, but it's real? Nervy little wolf! Thanks so much for your free pattern, it's wonderful and happy!
What a cute design!! Love it, and your pictures. We have 2 still-with-spots fawns in the neighborhood, but, thankfully, no coyotes!
This is gorgeous!
So cute!
