Happy New Year

And just like that, we turn the page on another year - seems like it went pretty quick, doesn't it?

I'm not going to indulge in reflections of the past year, or take a look at what I accomplished - too hard to remember, haha.  I can remember what I accomplished today though, I managed to clean and re-arrange my sewing room!  I like starting a new year [or a new week, or a new month] with a fresh clean layout.

It looks a little crowded in the pictures, but it's really not.  There's room to walk around everything, and I don't have to lean over anything to get to the windows.  Not in the picture is my exercise bike, which I'm determined to get on more.

And yes, I had so much fun - watching a Bob Newhart marathon, changing furniture around, and just generally staying indoors.

As I was cleaning, I had the feeling I was being watched......

Do you see the face in the tree?  Creeped me out no end.  I can only hope it's Santa.

It's just a little after 8pm here, not quite the new year yet, but I'm planning on being asleep for it - so I'll take this opportunity to wish you all the best in the coming year, health and happiness and all the blessings you can handle.

Love,
Allie

Love how you use your retro furniture in the room, fun space to work in.
Love the face, always seeing them in trees or shadows, we have good imaginations and notice things like that;)

Great job! I'm working slowly on my room. It is once again time for the great purge. Just one section at a time. I hope the creepy face goes away soon! Spray hot water on him or something. LOL! Happy New Year.

Your sewing room looks great but I don't like that scary face even if you know it is the snow.
Getting some sleep before 2 am is impossible here. All day people are playing with fireworks here. Mostly the noisy ones. At misnight seems like you are in a war zone and bombs are exploding. I don't like it and I think it is a terrible waist of money.
But it is all over now till next year....I wish you a wonderful, health, happy and creative 2018!

Hahahaha! That creepy face is truly weird. I kept seeing a dead fish laying in the crook of our tree, so weird! I LOVE LOVE LOVE your sewing room! You have so much space! I would seriously swoon for a couch in mine (no room and no money for it). I would come sew with you any day...if you only lived closer! Cheers and Happy New Year my dear friend!

Love your sewing room! Looks like Santa is checking up on you for 2018! I'm guessing because you mostly embroider that you don't keep a sewing machine out? I don't see one. I brought my machine down to the family room because my daughter wanted to use it and she can't stand the closeness in my tiny sewing room. So that's where I sewed on New Year's Eve, and guess what? I was watching Bob Newhart too!! I just love all the old shows. No tragedies, all comedy.

Happy New Year. If I were a jealous person, I'd want YOUR room. But really, I love mine too.

Haha I love your room! It's so big, since 2 of my kids came back home in 2017 I was relegated to the office which is like a shoe box lol I have managed to find a desk that fits and have most of my stuff in here but there is literally no room to swing a cat... which is at this moment asleep on my cutting board.
That face is a little creepy! Looking forward to seeing what you create this year!

Happy New Year Allie. I not only see the face in the tree, but I see a dog stuck there with his right leg and paw on going up the branch. Maybe he wants you to come and rescue him :-)

Your sewing room looks like a comfortable and inviting place to create. I need to clean up my space too. Yes, I do see a face! Maybe if I had a face like that, I would be more motivated to clean up my space!

Your sewing room looks comfy and spacious enough to be the only room you'd ever need to spend time in! (And that face in the tree is definitely creepy, LOL) Happy new year! New year, new goals, new things to work on - fun! :) I just got 4 small-medium boxes packed up from the sewing room to shoot off to Freecycle - that was just what I came across as I was rearranging things - I haven't even started to dig into stuff. It's coming though! As much as I joke about loving a huge stash, the walls are closing in on me down there - I don't have a pretty bright spacious area to sew in - I call it the dungeon for a reason, LOL. And the dungeon needs decluttering :D

The tree is definitely creepy - a most amazing eye! Keep the blinds closed. LOL I love your tables and yellow chairs. We had similar red ones. That's just the best space you have there. Happy new year. I hope this first week is going well for you, and inspiration may have struck you, but not knocked you down! =)

I loved Bob Newhart! I used to sit up by myself at night, as a teenager, and watch it. I loved the brothers Daryl Daryl and Larry? Is that right? lol I love seeing into your sewing room!
