My What A Productive Day!

Well, I wasn't expecting it, but the sun came out today...so I got busy, and had a photo-shoot of my 2 latest patterns.  The forecast said cloudy until Wednesday, so I wasn't prepared, lol!!!  But I got 'em.

Both are older patterns that I've re-made.  First up is Lemon Tree....

Now Jenny and I can be twins - she has the original!  I love this pattern and want to make it in pinks next time, so I can have Pink Lemonade, lol!  The pattern for this includes a complete layout diagram.  It measures 17" x 19 1/2".

Then, as the sun was still cooperating, I got pics of my completed Portholes!

I LOVE them in the hoops!  Not sure why I didn't think of that the first two times I made them...  And of course the crayons just add the perfect touch.  All instructions are included - these measure 7"!

Both are available in my shop, Allie-Oops Designs.

I had quite a scare late Friday night.  My precious kitty, Hermione, started shaking, twisting her back end, it was pitiful - she had a stroke.

She came out of it ok, and I stayed up almost all night, keeping an eye on her and cuddling her.  Normally, she follows me upstairs at bedtime, that night she did not.  She stayed downstairs on her quilt all night.
Saturday she slept most of the day, and seemed a little confused, but she did come upstairs that night and now she seems fine!  I guess she still has 8 lives left...she's back to playing, eating, and all the rest.

I may never recover, lol, but she seems ok....babies and animals, I hate when they're sick, they can't tell you where it hurts!

I think I'll go relax, as I sit here mum is in her chair sleeping, making me sleepy too....have a great week ahead, everyone!

Love,
Allie

Lemons and portholes are very cute - glad the sun came out for you - it was out here today too, and it was glorious!

HERMIONE! Auntie Sandra sends you maple syrup kisses, sweet thang - don't scare us like that again!

What a fright. We had a cat, ginger Tom, one afternoon, he started dragging his whole body, twitching, and seemed to be partly paralysed. Then he vomited, and brought up a part of a toy mouse, that looked like suede!!! It didn't happen again. Love your stitching.

It must have been so scary seeing Hermione having a stroke! Glad she is okay now. You are right; kids and animals....you just want them to be healthy!
Have a nice Spring week!

I've been following your blog for awhile but I don't often comment.
I'm so glad your kitty is ok. How scary - especially to watch it happen and can do nothing.
I had to comment on your embroidery - I did a piece several years ago when my grandson was a bit younger and he actually colored it in when I was done. One of my favorite memories!
Your work is beautiful as always!

I'm so glad Hermione is okay!! What a fright. I love your Lemon Tree. That's on my SomeDay List. Like, I need to sew every day until I'm 162 to finish my list. Who am I kidding. I'll keep adding to the list until th eday I die!

Am loving those portholes! How darned clever of you! Glad your kitty is okay. How scary for you. She looks like such a soft, sweet, snuggly little thing. Give her an extra scratch behind the ears from me! That lemon tree, oh, my goodness! Guess I'll have to be on the lookout for similar fabric because it's a surely must make! XO

I am so glad that Hermione is okay now. My 16-year-old Patches that I inherited from my aunt 3 years ago has scared me in a similar way a few times this past year. I agree it is heart-wrenching when they can't tell you what is wrong.

You can also make the tree green so you can have limeade or orange so you can orange juice, or tangerine or grapefruit, etc. Of course you would have to change the wording to reflect which fruit it is.

That is scary, glad she is ok. She does look like Izzy, even the nose mark.
Love your new pieces and you really can see the beautiful work and detail with the outdoor photos.

I too am glad your precious furrbaby recovered. I believe my cocker spaniel had a stroke, possibly during surgery to remove a cancerous tumor. Her mouth is crooked on one side and when she drinks water it pours out of that side. I'm always wiping up after her. No one said she had a stroke but that it was possible.....maybe it happened when we weren't around to see it. I'm just thankful for every day I have her because the doctors weren't too optimistic 4 years ago when tumors appeared in her lymph nodes that are inoperable. They call her a miracle dog......I just keep offering up puppy prayers on her behalf, then day by day I thank God. Bless you and your family

Congratulations on revamping your patterns. I like the portholes in hoops - seems perfect! The Lemon Tree is always one of my favorites, too. Poor kitty! I didn't even know they could have strokes - but apparently with less complicated systems, it isn't as severe over time. I'm glad you have a kitty still, and that you've had time to do some stitching.

Dear friend:
I wish you had recovered from the fright. Animals become part of the family and they give us joys and sorrows as well.
I see your precious designs, crayons a new and beautiful perspective.
I expect you and your mother very well in health. I at this time terribly busy I go little on the internet. Today I could finally say hello. Even if you spend a lot of time, you and your family always in my prayers. My best wishes for you. A big hug.
