I'm back from my forced vacation from the internet! Seven days - it took Comcast 7 days to figure out that our connection had been loosened from the pole outside. And yesterday, our power main went on the house, we only had power to less than half the house - so guess what got replaced early this morning before the cable guy arrived! Good thing I have a handy hubby.
But now I'm back, and I've uploaded my latest free design for you to my craftsy store, click HERE!
I love Burl Ives and A Holly Jolly Christmas song, it's been ringing in my head while working on this design. The pattern is for the stitchery only, how you finish it will be up to you! Do send pics, I'd love to see what you create!
Now that we have power and internet again, I'm hoping we can keep them, I have sewing to do. We're in the middle of a wicked 2-day wind storm, lots of folks without power already, and Lake Michigan is forecast to have 23ft seas. If we can keep the lights on, I'll be coming around to visit your blogs, I've missed you so!!! It's very hard to do anything on my tiny phone screen!
See ya soon!

I don't know how anyone - young or old - can do ANYthing on little cellphones - I can barely use the keypad on the Blackberry, let alone get a decent look at any screen. Welcome back, btw - I hope your power stays on!
... Hung where you can seeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Somebody waits for you ... kiss her once for me!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sweet embroidery :)
Love your stitchery Allie. So cute. Hugs,xx
That's so pretty, and jolly, and HAPPY! xx
Great pattern! I've just googled Lake Michigan 'big waves'! I'm in Sydney Australia, so I love to Google where other people live!!
That would drive me crazy, I am too dependent on electricity and the internet, lol.
One of the reasons we changed our mind about living in Syracuse, lake effect storms;)

No fun when the power is out, whether electrical or electronic. I can understand your blistery weather. I've just come home from a trip with DH. We enjoyed :-( six miserable days of rain and cold in the Carolinas. I was so happy to come home to warm sunshine :-)
Glad you're back! Your design is ADORABLE!!!!!
it's good to be back???? love your little design....

Es frustrante cuando uno no puede hacer nada para solucionar el problema.
Me alegro de que ahora todo esté bien. Besos.
I sympathise,I had no wireless internet for several days, tried everything, Googled help until there were no answers left, then stumbled on something, and bingo, back on, I had the Ethernet cable strung along the floor, Maybe I should have decorated it and hung it in loops from the doorways.Take care in that wild weather.
I sympathize with you - we had lost internet - we also have Comcast - and it took them days to get out and we were NOT reimbursed for the lost time. They offered us free HBO for while. HA!
So glad you're back with us! Your new design is very pretty - Love Rudolph!
Blessings, Donna P.
As always . . . adorable. Thank you.
So glad your back, you have been missed.
I have a Catherine Deneuve Christmas movie (A Christmas Tale) waiting for me to watch this evening as I work on my projects - 'tis the season :)
xx
Love your cute stitchery. I've worried about losing power for the last three days.Glad you have your power back!
Welcome back! It's horrid being without the internet. Have a great weekend. xx
So glad you have power again. That is so frustrating.
Such a cute design. Thank you so much for sharing.
Hugs

You have had a round of bad luck with your house. Hope all goes well now.
Thank you for sharing the free design. I wish I had more time for embroidery type stitching. I have to think a little bit about how to use the design.
I never knew the lake waves could go so high! That sounds almost tsunami-like. I'm glad everything was running well, as of this post. That doesn't surprise me about Comcast. I don't like them at all. I have come to think, though, that none of them are any better. AT&T came around to my neighborhood to sign people up for upgrades to 18 bps, and we can't have more than 12 here! Right hand, left hand, don't work together. Honestly, when Paul and I were with Hughes, and he set the satellite up whenever we stopped to park for a few days, I think we did so much better! LOL
Duh, the whole point of the comment was to tell you thank you for your wonderful Christmas Design. That would make such a cute pillow with a red and white striped border or binding or piping!
Cute stitchery Allie, great to have you back. Praying that you will be kept safe through the storms. xx
Ahi Allie,Thankyou so much ,I love your stitchery, you are very clever my friend,I hope you have a wonderful day xx
What a precious stitchery! I love Burl Ives, too! Great job. Good luck with your stormy weather. Stay safe! XO
What a fun stitchery, it's got me singing carols in my head. Hopefully you sew up a storm but don't get blown away by the storm outside.
I too did not know lake waters could reach such heights. Change of the seasons often bring wilder weather. Meanwhile Christmas would not be Christmas without Burl Ives and his familiar voice singing the old classics. You are so generous to share your very cute design; thanks!
