Hi everyone, if anyone's still out there, lol - been so long since I've posted! I've been making the rounds of all your blogs, enjoying seeing what you've all been up to. I don't seem to have a lot of stitching ambition myself....but I am working on one very special project.
I finished block one of
Jenny's Daisy Days, and am working on block 2 - oh they are SO CUTE!!!!! The
Daisy Days BOM has its own blog, go check it out and join in! Loving this project so very much. And Jenny has a new
BOM starting as well...
which will start Friday! How adorable is that???? I think Jenny has a turbo needle....she stitches way faster than I do!
Let's see, what else has been going on. It's been a busy summer so far. Lots of taking mum to therapy [again]. My oldest son turned 21, I can hardly believe it. A sad story on that day, too....our dog Abby had brought a critter into the house, it turned out to be a baby bunny rabbit. A newborn. Took it back outside and found the clutch, see?
I still think it's risky to leave them all right in the grass like that. But who knows what goes on in the mind of a bunny. Anyway, we left for the day to celebrate John's birthday, and came home to find the dog in the yard - apparently someone had let her out, and neglected to let her back in. Nobody noticed. And while we were gone, she got hungry.....no more little bunnies....told you it was sad.
We found this on our outside door.
Then it became this.
And we MISSED the big reveal, I'm sorry to say - apparently it was a black swallowtail.
Know anyone who needs a horse? My cousin is selling hers, she's off to college and won't be able to take her/him with her.
The horse had a cover over his/her face, to keep the flies off. I suggested Skin So Soft, from Avon, which also works for mosquitos - which brings me to my big news - I started selling Avon! And who knew, they now sell online and give the reps their own stores. I was very happy to see that! I'm still looking for a job, but hope this will help some.
I didn't realize when I signed up how much I was going to enjoy this. After raising two boys, and being the only girl in the house, I had pretty much given up make-up and jewelry, any kind of primping, and really didn't miss it. Until now, lol! I'm having fun being a girl again and playing with make-up. Not to mention making new friends!
I promise this won't turn into an Avon blog, but I will be mentioning it. If you'd like to see what Avon has, you can always browse the latest brochure at my store - they now have a line for children called Tiny Tillia, they have Hello Kitty and Star Wars things, jewelry, shoes and purses selected by Paula Abdul, Curves gear, kitchen and bath stuff, my gosh. Not your grandmother's Avon, for sure. Oh, and Playtex and Bali bras, lol! Here's the
link, and it'll always be on my sidebar, on top. If you're in the U.S., you can order from me and it will come right to your door!
Well, I'd better get back to my stitching, before I have to leave today....it's already 88F, not even noon yet. Going to be another scorcher. I need to finish block 2 of Jenny's Daisy Days - I purchased her Romeo Roses stitchery from her
Craftsy store, and want to get started on that too - and then, maybe draw something up of my own to share with you! I'll see you all soon....
