Ketchup

I've been offline for a bit, so now it's time to catch up...but I'm not sure I'll be able to catch up with all your blogs!  My reader is exploding.

It's been a busy couple of weeks.  We've had visitors, who really enjoyed our flowers -

These two especially are very naughty.

All the crocuses are gone, I have no hope for the daffodils that popped out today.  We don't even know what else might be in those flowerbeds, and may never know.

We've also been getting mum ready to move back home, it's been six months since she's stayed home more than overnight.  She was ready.  She had her last day at cardiac rehab on Friday, got her graduation certificate, and we moved her home on Saturday.

See?  She was ready.  I miss her so much....I have to call her every few hours.

There's even been a bit of sewing.  This -

became this.

Mom's favorite color of blue - so she's getting it for Mother's Day.  I got it partially quilted today, so it should be done in time!

I've also finished the first block of my longest-running project....

I love it.  Do you know whose address that is??  It's quite a famous one.

Hermione continues to recover, she's back to her old self, and loves the new arrangement in the sewing room.  Feels so OPEN in here now!

We've had a couple of very warm days, 77F today, she was laying in front of the doorwall letting the wind blow through her hair fur.  She did fall off the windowsill yesterday, watching the deer - I'll be discouraging her from getting up there.

I think that's all the news from here, I have to re-charge my laptop battery and then catch up on all of your blogs - may take awhile, be patient with me!  See ya soon....

Love,
Allie

That address does not ring a bell to me...... Glad your Mom is doing so well. It must be so quiet at your house but it is a good thing. The deer are so pretty, I would let them eat my flowers so I could watch them up close! Happy Hermione is feeling better too! Enjoy Spring!

Sorry that the flowers are so appetising. What about some prickly plants nearby? Love the wall hanging, and great news your Mum is well enough to be back home.

Your mom is really looking good - so wonderful to see - and back in her home. After 6 months, that would be a big change for you - and her!! Didn't realize how destructive the deer can be - we had more problems with rabbits and raccoons!! So sad that they are eating all your flowers. So glad Hermione is feeling better :)!

The deer would be welcome to my daffodils. They keep popping up wherever the house's previous owners planted them. I'm not a fan, but I'm also not motivated enough to get rid of them.

Good to get your post! Sounds like good news all around. Well, maybe not for the flowers. I'm sure the deer friends are thanking you for the tasty salads.
Mum is looking great. No doubt you both will be missing the other --but enjoying the return to usual arrangement. The bluebell is so pretty. Blessed Easter celebration to you all!

Such good news about your mom! She looks great. And I thought deer didn't like daffodils, and hyacinth. Or maybe it's the rabbits that don't like those. I know they love tulips!

How wonderful that your Mom is feeling so much better and ready to be home... though you have to go through empty nest again!!! I had to look up that address... but it's Lucy's - pity about the flowers but I think it's worth it to have those lovely deer visiting... good to read you again...xx and I love the bluebell

The deer we get, usually stay to the back, which is fine with me.
So glad to hear, that your mom is home again, and I am sure she and you are happy.
Love the flower piece, perfect for mother's day.

I had to look up the address too :D Glad mom is home now and doing well ... I love that she got a graduation certificate, lol! I hope Hermione has learned her lesson, and that the deer find somewhere else to snack! ;)

Thanks for the catch-up...err...I mean "ketchup"... I just watched an old episode of I Love Lucy this morning...so yes...I know the address. If I hadn't seen the episode I probably would have guessed John Lennon's NY residence. Glad you're back...hope you find time to read all your blogs. That takes up alot of my time. Blessings....

love the photos of the deer visiting. do not worry about the daffodils, they are poisonous to animals. Plant all you want!

So glad to hear your Mum is doing so well. She is looking good. The deer remind me so much of living up north with my Dad. I loved seeing the deer. Too bad they found your flowers. I love your projects. Hugs

That's a lot of news! I'm really happy that your mom was able to go back home. I hope she is safe and happy for a long time. Your sewing room is awesome and I'm envious each time I see it. =) So glad the cat is doing better, too. Maybe you will get some sewing done soon, but that embroidery looks wonderful.

Your Mom looks good - I am sure both of you are ready for her to be home. Your bluebells are lovely and your stitchery is exquisite. I don't know the address but my guess is Virginia yes there is a Santa Claus.

Happy Mom and what a pretty bluebell she is getting! I love your embroidery on your block and am intrigued. I just made my pink tulip heads today for my TipToe project and enjoyed the process very much. Thank you for such a pretty and easy to use design.
