M.I.A.

Hi folks - been MIA for a bit - haven't been blogging, visiting your blogs, or much of anything online.  I do have good reason, though....

I've been taking lots of pics of my crabapple tree outside my sewing room window, as it may be the last spring I'm here to enjoy it.  We've put another offer on a house, and are in negotiations now.

We went again to view it today.  I like it....a lot.  We'll see.

Also, mum hurt her foot again.  Walked into a door, and sliced her toe on the bottom of the door.  I took her out to my aunt's today, so she could look at it, and my aunt thinks she'll be fine - and not have to go through everything she did last time.  WHEW.

Right now, I'm working on a project that needs to be completed by the end of the month, for a quilt-a-long that starts in September - so fun!  I hope you stay tuned for that.  I'm trying to get it done as soon as possible, in case we do move...not only would this new house require some work, but also the house we own now, as we'll be selling it.

Every time I think of all the work, I need another nap.

Fortunately, there's a new super food on the market.

I might be able to get through anything with that for breakfast.  (Yes, they're delicious!)

I'm also trying to finish stitching my postcard for June, as I'm sure May will fly by.  I spent a couple of days last week shopping with my son, he needed a suit for a wedding this past weekend.  May I say I LOVE shopping with boys?  No lingering, no drama, just "yes it fits, let's pay and go".  I can't believe I didn't get a picture of him in it!!

I'll try to get around to visit you all this week, although it looks like another busy one...so no promises.  But I miss you all like crazy and am dying to see what you're working on!  Don't finish too many things or I'll never catch up, lol!

Love,
Allie

Wow, beautiful blossoms, and I HOPE you sell, then I HOPE all over again that your purchase goes through. Stitching, I managed to get the 4 blocks from Sandy's design sewn, and quilted. So happy to actually get one thing done.Your Mum, lets be positive that it will heal so soon with no complications.

Fingers crossed and prayers for you to get this one! I'm so glad your mom's foot is going to be okay, sounded painful! I love your photos of the crab apple tree. Maybe you can plant a new one at the new house?

Your pictures are glorious! Thanks for sharing. Good luck with the house buying/selling. I'd like to move to a different house, but we have so much STUFF that I can't imagine how we would move it all, and DH is a hoarder - can't get rid of anything. :-(

Glad to hear your Mum will be ok. Fingers and toes crossed for this new place of yours (and a prayer as well). Coffee and chocolate always makes things better. Take care, Guida.

What gorgeous blossom Allie - wish we had a crab apple as they make such gorgeous jelly. So glad you have found a house that you like - I hope it all goes through. xx

Oh my you are REALLY busy right now. That is the kind of busy that does exhaust one but I know once you are settled into the new place, you will be glad. Will you have a place to sew there? I love your little post card and I think your photographs of the trees are divine. I have one scare inch of wall space left, I'd ask if I could download a few to hang on the wall. Coffee AND M & M's...how could I not know this exists? I'll look for them next time at the store. I'm praying that the transition is smooth for you all, hugs and hugs, Mickie

Welcome back. I wish you sell in the purchase of your new house and the sale of your old one. I'm sorry your Mom got hurt, but glad her toes are okay. You don't have to worry about me finishing anything - just for you, I will make things slowly.

Your pictures are gorgeous Allie. Sorry about your Mom. I'm still trying to recoop after a sick bout myself. It does take time and my energy level is not back yet. Take care and enjoy your beautiful flowers.

You are a busy gal, Allie. Just the selling and buying house thing is enough. Will definitely be keeping an eye out for the quilt along. Take care now and hope Mum has not further mishaps!

I wouldn't get anything done if I had to eat those M&M's. I am not a coffee drinker. That leaves lots more bags of them for you! Good luck on the house front.

So sorry your Mom hurt her foot....ouch! Good luck with both houses and watch out for M&Ms and Hersey Kisses. You saw what they did to me...giggle. Lovely blooms.

I hope your offer goes through and can't wait to hear about the new place.
We have apple trees that have been so sad over the years and Bill finally put some spikes around them and now they are blooming beautifully. The apples still look like crab apples though and not sure if they will ever produce nice ones, but nice to have the trees.

Beautiful flowers, I love them. And good reason for not posting in a while. I do hope your Mom's foot heals quickly. Such a waiting game when it comes to buying and selling house - I feel for you. But it will all work out for you.

Your crabapple is gorgeous. We had one at the house I grew up in. Loved it until the "apples" feel all over and we had to clean them up. What a mess.
We like the chilli M&Ms - my husband has added m&ms to his chilli for years, so it was only natural we liked these :) I'm going to have to see if I can find some more, we've run out and I haven't seen them anywhere except Walmart - which I don't go to very often :)
