The Quest Continues

Well, we didn't get the house, so the search continues...not much out there.  We went and looked at another one yesterday, but no.

It's tiring, I must admit.  We're both looking for different things - I'm looking mainly for that perfect sewing room.  Well, wouldn't you be?  *G*

In the meantime, I re-arrange my sewing room so I can actually move around in it, and keep stitching.  I've finished the embroidery on Whirly Twirly Garden, next up is the border.

I'm also still stitching on block one of - gee, I don't have a name for this yet.

My ironing table is in front of the window now, the perfect place for Hermione to sniff some fresh [COLD!] air, and watch the wildlife.

That means I can't iron, but cats come first, right?

Plus I'm stitching June's postcard, and 7 other projects.  So I'm not really slacking, even though it sure looks like it from my blog posts - no finishes!

I'm also battling a yeast overgrowth again.  Lots of probiotics, and a diet consisting of nothing but meat and veggies.  No sugar, yeast, fruits and very little dairy, only the half-n-half in my coffee.  Can't give up coffee.  It got so bad that all I could do was sleep - no energy.  I hate that!  I'm pleased to say I'm on the mend now.

I've been so sleepy I haven't even been around to visit you.  I slept for 15 hours last night, and feel pretty good today, so that's my plan!  I'll be around to see what you've been up to, I'm sure you've been busier than I have!  See you soon....
Love,
Allie

Ah, I hate house hunting. We've bought and sold something like 11 houses and each time it's a struggle. I have to admit I like buying better than selling. lol All but one of our moves have been dictated by job changes so it's not like we had a choice but still finding the right thing is so hard.

My husband complains that I have taken over the house and he has no "man space." Not quite true, he has a room that is used for a computer room. But to be fair I have the garage with my woodworking stuff. The studio for my pottery, a sewing room and the entire yard (he doesn't do yard due to allergies). I guess he has a point. But I totally understand looking for a perfect sewing room. :)

The perfect house is out there for you, just hard to have to wait. I wish I had waited, just took what was available and wish I hadn't;) I am at that point, cutting off meds and watching my diet better to clean out.

The garden block is adorable. Such fresh looking fabrics. What I would call citrus colors.

Sorry to hear about the house hunting. It's so hard, for so many reasons. One thing my DH and I did, for the last 2 houses we bought, was we sat down together and came up with a list of what was important to us. We did 1. HAVE to have, 2. nice to have, and 3. what we really DIDN'T want. It took some conversation and concessions, but it was really helpful for us. We also gave a copy to our realtor so she could know what we were looking for too. Maybe that would help you clarify what you're looking for. I wish you good luck on the hunt!

So sorry also to hear that you've not been feeling well. That is really not fun. Hope you feel better soon.

House hunting is such an exhausting thing to do. You will find just the right place. I enjoyed seeing what you are working on, oh and yes my cat thinks she should come first also.

Oh that's a bummer about the house. You'll find something. As long as you dont' "have" to move, you have the luxury of waiting for the perfect place instead of settling for something else. Glad you're beginning to feel better, and with all those projects started, you're going to have a bunch of finishes all at once!

I'm so glad to hear you are feeling better! That's no fun to have lots of wanna-dos and no energy for the doing of them. Whirly-Twirly looks great, though! I'm looking for a layer cake of the perfect fabrics. At a really discounted price. LOL

Oh Allie I am sorry to hear that you are not feeling well and that you didn't get the house :( It's exhausting to search for houses, especially when you are fatigued from the infection. Hugs and prayers for you dear Allie, your projects look lovely but please continue to get some rest!!! Hugs, Mickie

Sorry to hear the house did not come through. I know how hard the hunt can be, since we just did the same 9 years ago. It is tiring. HOpe you feel better soon and I love what I am seeing on your whirly twirly garden.

Sorry you didn't get the house, but it IS fun looking :) I'm glad you're starting to feel better, and you've been getting some stitching done - that always makes me feel better, even if I don't have official finishes to show for my efforts :D

So sorry Allie. We have more houses than you can imagine that are up for foreclosure here. I'm sure something will come up again.

So sorry about the house getting away, but I'm sure you'll find another one soon. Love your twirly garden. Makes me want to get out in the yard and plant a flower or two....if it ever starts warming up for good. The magnolias around here bloomed 6 weeks ago, and now the remaining blooms are struggling against yet another cold snap. Brrr. I'm ready for Spring. Glad you're feeling better, too. Sounds like that diet is rough, but it must be working. Keep healthy, Dear, and keep yourself in stitches (teehee). Hugs.

Sorry the house hunting isn't going well - but I have to agree with you, you MUST have a good sewing room, kitchen and bedroom :)
Projects are looking great :)

I know you're disappointed, and probably a little frustrated, but the right one will come along! And it will satisfy both your needs! Feel better soon! X O

Shucks, was so hoping this house was the one, so sorry. I gotta say I love your twirly garden, and your tweety bird on the vintage sheet (your next blog....sorry still catching up). Love the idea of a quilt from those sheets. We had some sanding and planing of our doors--what a MESS--and I just got all the rooms cleaned of the sawdust. Left my overstuffed sewing room til last, and just got it done a couple of days ago (whew)...of course it involved a lot of rearranging (I secretly like doing this part, but don't tell my hubby--grin). Have a lovely week, Dear...hugs
