Profoundly Grateful....

that I do not live in Buffalo, NY.  Have you seen the pictures?  They're saying 8 feet of snow by the time it ends.  EIGHT. FEET.

We got snow today too, but only a little.

That pic was from my aunt's garage.  I spent the night out there last night [no, not in the garage], she had some guys coming to fix her garage floor - and for the second time, they couldn't do it.  Well, it was nice visiting anyway, lol.  Driving home, not so much.

Sunday was my aunt's birthday, and mum, the family diabetic, got right into the swing of things.

I tried to do some sewing, but was mighty distracted - my aunt's kitty, Snickers, has a new trick.  She loves to eat magazines.

That was a catalog - mum's new Woman's Day had already been taken away from her.  Bad Kitty.

My aunt gave me a new robe, and guess who claimed it when I got home?    Hermione.

It's really cuddly and soft, just like her.  I think she thinks it's her mother.

I just didn't have the heart to tell her no.

Hoping to get around to some blogs tonight, I'll be up til 2am, have to make sure my boy gets home safe from work.  It's so cold the salt isn't working on the roads very well, and they are slick!  I think I'll stay home until March.

Be safe out there, everyone....

I's like to be staying home until march, but I don't think I'd have a job if I did. I can't imagine all the snow buffalo got...it's just crazy!

I have looked on Accuweather, and Google, and it almost scares me to see that much snow, travel abandoned, vehicles, stuck, skidding, people shovelling, too hard for some, I'm glad you are safe at home, Lovely puss cat, and naturally, the best robe in town is claimed very fast. Take care, Jean.

Oh boy don't you just love this weather, not. Drove to Grand RApids to stay with that batch of grands while Shannon went out to do an errand. They are still a one car family and we had planned for me to drive down to watch kids while she used my car to go to an appointment. The girls are still doing well with the home schooling, Henry who is 2 1/2 has learned is ABC's. The oldest, Natalie has been fighting really bad ear infections and may have to have surgery because ear drums might have burst, but specialist could not tell because of the infection being so bad. She has had tubes twice and has allergies with some antibiotics. Oh well back to my drive. Took my 2 plus hours to get to Grand Rapids and almost that much time to make it back home. Yeck!

I sure wouldn't want to live there, I like snow, but not that much. My kitties love the plush fleece blankets, they cuddle up in those.

I like your kitty photos and the light snow at your house. Not too deep. Stay warm.

I was thinking of staying IN my house until March. It's cold out there. We got enough just to sweep. I heard Buffalo was supposed to get 2.5 metres by the time it finished. I'm so glad I live north of the lake.
I think your kitty just wants to be close to you. Perhaps your scent is on the robe.

I am completely ASTOUNDED by the amount of snow they're getting - our oldest lad is supposed to go there next month for a football game - I hope the weather and snow levels are a bit more temperate by then, LOL!

We (my family and my brother's family) got stuck in Syracuse during Blizzard '93 - when we started hearing radio reports about massive amounts of snow coming, we told ourselves ... "PFFT! We're from Canada - WE KNOW SNOW - these people are amateurs - I'm sure this is much ado about nothing!". Yep - that arrogance bit us in the butt and we ended up stuck in a divey hotel with 6, 4 and 3 year old boys who couldn't go outside and burn off some excess energy. FUN. NOT! New York - I bow to your snow expertise - it's equal to ours, lol!
