Wow what a busy week or so. I've hardly been home, it seems. But it's summer, that's ok, right? That's what summer is for.
A couple of weeks ago, my son went to the dentist and came home with four tickets to the Detroit Tigers came for that night. It was our first baseball game! Very fun, very exciting. Comerica Park is a nice venue, but I wish I could have seen the Tigers at the old Tiger Stadium.
Best of all, they won! We had such a great time, we went again last night. John bought us tickets. We didn't get home until after midnight, and I have to tell you, I'm getting too old for this.
Good summertime activity, right? Except last night was HOT. But they won again!
Last week, I took Sam out driving, and we stopped at Heritage Park in Farmington. They have a great old house on the property that I've never seen before. It was built in 1925 and was gorgeous - plus the park has lots of walking trails, most blacktopped but some not.
I loved this in the garden.
This is the back. There's a garden area with benches where you can sit and look out over the hills, just lovely.
I was gone all weekend, didn't get anything done [at my house]. I did get lots of stitching with my friend Cathy on Sunday. Are you watching the Olympics? I am, barely, not really paying too much attention. There are some changes coming to my blog, and I'm working hard behind the scenes to prepare. See?
Oops, only got a corner. Darn camera. Guess you'll have to wait.
I'm looking forward to getting around to visiting your blogs - I'm home for the next couple of days, yippee!
