Too Pooped To Participate!

Wow what a busy week or so.  I've hardly been home, it seems.  But it's summer, that's ok, right?  That's what summer is for.

A couple of weeks ago, my son went to the dentist and came home with four tickets to the Detroit Tigers came for that night.  It was our first baseball game!  Very fun, very exciting.  Comerica Park is a nice venue, but I wish I could have seen the Tigers at the old Tiger Stadium.

Best of all, they won!  We had such a great time, we went again last night.  John bought us tickets.  We didn't get home until after midnight, and I have to tell you, I'm getting too old for this.

Good summertime activity, right?  Except last night was HOT.  But they won again!

Last week, I took Sam out driving, and we stopped at Heritage Park in Farmington.  They have a great old house on the property that I've never seen before.  It was built in 1925 and was gorgeous - plus the park has lots of walking trails, most blacktopped but some not.

I loved this in the garden.

This is the back.  There's a garden area with benches where you can sit and look out over the hills, just lovely.

I was gone all weekend, didn't get anything done [at my house].  I did get lots of stitching with my friend Cathy on Sunday.  Are you watching the Olympics?  I am, barely, not really paying too much attention.  There are some changes coming to my blog, and I'm working hard behind the scenes to prepare.  See?

Oops, only got a corner.  Darn camera.  Guess you'll have to wait.

I'm looking forward to getting around to visiting your blogs - I'm home for the next couple of days, yippee!

Looks like you are enjoying your summer! Jeff is going to a Tigers game tomorrow with his dad. Bus trip, he leaves early in the morning. Just the Bug and I tomorrow. Just took our oldest grandson back home today after doing a little school shopping and helping me find a birthday present for his youngest brother. Thanks Allie for taking the time to give Shannon some instruction on the home schooling. She is very thankful for any information or instruction she can get. Next week taking the 7 year olds out for back to school shopping. One boy from middle daughter and one girl from youngest daughter, Shannon. Find the two middle boys are just to hard to take at once.

Allie! It IS a busy summer! Glad you were able to get to Tiger stadium. I went for the first time last year to see Comerica (and the Tigers) and was thinking how nice the stadium was and that I missed the old one:) We used to go all the time when I was a kid. The good old days.

I am not big into baseball, but I will be watching a game soon. My nephew and his team just made the little league all stars, you can bet I will be watching that :)
Glad to hear you are having so much fun!

Ha! We have tickets for a Jays game on Sunday. It's a Father's Day gift where the whole family (the ones in the city) get together. I love my family and it's a rare treat to have them all in one place. Anyway, how's the weather now? We've had rain for a couple of days so it's a nice excuse to stay in and sew/quilt/knit.
I love old houses and heritage sites. Our library gives out free passes for such things in the summer (good for 2 adults and 5 children - could have used them years ago.)

This sounds like summer vacation fun stuff! Sporting games are so exciting in real life - nothing on t.v. can replace the electricity and mood of the crowd. Glad you had fun!

What a great reward for going to the dentist. I no longer have the patience to sit through a full baseball game but I do enjoy going for a few innings.

Such a lovely park to visit. I sure do miss "real" trees. Too many palm trees down here lol.

I have no idea what you are making but I love the waves and dolphins :)
