Challenged

Yes, I wish I was at a water park - it's been a wee bit warm.  105 yesterday, and my sweet a/c unit in my sewing room only cooled the room to 90.  I DID get my 15 minutes in though, thanks to Sandra!

I'm almost done with the words, then to start on the bears.  Loving this so much.

This is another reason I haven't been getting much done....

That's supposed to be my sewing table.  But really, when it's that hot outside, mum's room is THE place to be.  It's fine, I enjoy the company!

And now I have to show off some pics.  My sweet Jenny from Jenny of Elefantz made my Pam's Poppy design - so quick off the mark!  Look at how clever she is.

Jenny-girl, you bless me.  I love it even better than mine!

I think I'll go get my 15 minutes of stitching in, then work on a new design I've been creating...the math part is bogging me down.  That's if I can stay awake today, I got up at 5:30am just to let some cooler air into the house.  Maybe a nap is in order first!

That's funny the boys have taken over your sewing table! I think I'd make them sit on the floor! LOL

At least the heat makes it so you spend time together! Hope you stay cool today.

LOL at your boys taking over your room. Love your wallhanging. Turned out so cute. It's cooler here today. Hope it's cooler in your part of the state too! Love that bear stitchery.

I'm so glad my kids are grown and gone because I'm sure they'd be in my sewing room too. lol

Love Jenny's poppy. I want to make it when I get back from vacation. Hugs

Years ago, when we lived in apartments and no air, I took cool showers. That really helps to lower the body temperature. Even spritzing water on in front of a fan can help.

Love your teddy piece, that is so cute and your flower is beautiful.

A bit of an understatement there Allie. 105 F is Hot Hot Hot. Even 90 is way too hot. I have never been one to wish winter would end. Keep up your 15 min. a day and before you know it, something will be finished. Say Hi to the guys. I hope they offer to make you a snack or clean up or something just for letting them share your room. ;-)

And of course body heat helps raise the temp - more people in the room warmer it gets!

My sewing room is upstairs and even with the AC going all the time AND a ceiling fan it was so hot I couldn't stay in there very long. Our high was only around 95 so I can only imagine if it was 105. Time for hand sewing downstairs.

It only goes down to 90, Allie? That's awful. There's a heat wave going on here, too. Yesterday it went up to 102. Today's supposed to be similar. But, we've got central air in the living/dining room and kitchen areas and the bedrooms, each with wall fans, are not bad. My sewing room, also with a fan, is totally underground, no window or outside wall, so doesn't get too hot.

Oh man it is hot up here too! Finally we got some rain this morning but then when the heat hit it was humid... I have been staying in an doing inside stuff. Painting walls and canning some relish. Walked out back to the garden with hubs this evening and brought back more cucumbers. They seem to like the heat.

Oh it's been hot here too! Setting up fans have helped a lot.
The wall hanging is precious!

Finally, Mom's sewing room is the COOL place to be! hee hee! Hope they didn't lose too many "guy points".

Your stitchery is looking good!

Hope your temps have cooled off some now. Ugh. That sounds so miserable. What a summer you're having.

Good for you! I haven't been able to get 15 min of stitching in! That's for sure. Love what you're doing. Looks like you are having a pretty good summer. Hugs.

Great job on the poppy! Jeez!! It's so strange how it gets to the upper 80's and I think I'm going to just die from the heat! I think we've only seen 2 days with 90 degree temps, I completely shut down and whine all day...poor Jeff. Guess I shouldn't be so crabby. Enjoy the boys!!
