Ouchie

Hello all you talkative people - been trying to stay off the computer, but I find you all rather interesting, so I've been reading but not commenting.  I stitched too much last week, and lost the use of my right arm for the weekend.  I could still use it, I guess that's kind of dramatic, but it did hurt!  So I stayed away from typing, and stitching, and read every single library book from the stack that was supposed to last 3 weeks.

Today I felt better, and I had lost my scissors, so I went through every drawer, tote and pile on my tables.  I also re-arranged the furniture.  I had help.

Do you know how hard it is to move furniture when kitty is doing her Snoopy impression?

She used to do that on top of our refrigerator.  We wouldn't see her in the dark, and suddenly you'd turn around and find eyes staring right into yours.  Heart. Failure.

And no, never did find my scissors.  Hermione woke me one night last week, she was on my sewing table and I heard some thuds...I think my good scissors went into the trash, and went to the curb.

I also tried to get pics of the green quilt today.  We've had high winds, so I can't go outside, nobody would be able to hang onto it.  It would act as a sail and I'd have to chase them to Minnesota.  I don't want to go to Minnesota.

My light in here is awful.  Not sure when the raffle is, so I'll just keep trying to get good pics.  More high winds tomorrow, though.

I woke up at 6am this morning, first time in weeks.  I had a nightmare.  I was in Australia watching tv, and it was incredibly violent.  I kept changing the channels and it kept getting worse.  Now, I know it was just a dream and my lovely Aussie friends don't have that kind of tv....but when I come visit, we'll just keep it off, ok?

I hope you all have a great week, I'm going to slowly get back to typing comments, and stitching.  I have so many projects ready to go.  I was bored out of my mind, not being able to stitch or blog.  What did we do before computers????

Lovely cross stitched hearts in a wonderful quilt!!
Before I had a computer, first one made its entrance in the house in 2003, I did exactly the same things I do now. Well, all my correspondence was handwritten and that's the only thing I miss nowadays, hoerver I do like my laptop, blogging as Mrs. Zondagssteek :>)
And how 'funny', I had the same nightmare two nights ago.
Cheers!

Jeanneke.

You're going to Australia, Allie? hehehe.

When I empty the garbage from my sewing room trash bin, I always do it slowly, by hand, over the big garbage in the kitchen. No food or wet stuff in there, so it's easy. I HAVE found things in there that shouldn't have been!

Your quilt is gorgeous. I love all those little blue cross stitched hearts. I often "feel" violent about what is on Aussie TV.LOL! I am so sorry you have had a sore arm. I hope it's on the mend. Love puss hanging over the cupboard!

The quilt has come up so beautifully! It should raise a lot of money. And your cat just cracks me up. Along with your mom. She's the best. You get some rest and when you do do something, take frequent breaks. I'll be thinking of you. And half the things on t.v. here are from America. A quarter is from other countries and the other quarter is Australian. And in total not a lot worth watching.

Ooh! This quilt looks Gorgeous Allie!!! I am loving the cross stitch hearts!! ... And your cat! Hehe! That's hilarious!!! Thankfully ours aren't quite so stealthy!! They just meow if you're any where close to them ... except when they're asleep ... lol, which is most of the time they're inside!!
... Yes, Aussie TV can be violent .. but I don't think it is all that different to 'normal' channels?! I can't really say much though as, even though I don't watch much TV ... my 'always' shows are Criminal Minds, Bones, NCIS and CSI, LOL!! ... I am getting into The Voice though, am watching Dancing with the Stars again since it started up again ... and The Block (house renovation show) has started up again, so I'm keen to catch up with that!!

The quilt looks amazing, and I can see now about the size of it. Well done on the quilting. I had that kind of sore right arm too, fortunately lasted only 3 or 4 days. A nuisance though.
Come to Aussie and check out our tv. lol. We will promise not to give you nightmares. (actually we have quite a few American shows, so you may feel at home here).
Take care and rest up that arm when you need to.

Those photos of your gorgeous cat made me laugh.. how cute!!! Your quilt is really lovely - it reminds me of beautiful antique doilies and stitcheries. I'm glad no one blew away to Minnesota. Hope your arm is better! Sorry to hear about your nightmare, especially as it was here in Oz!!!!

Want to get an ott light with a mag glass then maybe it will go quicker. I planned on posting today but every other blog I have visited says they are having troubles...Oh man...Maybe I will show off my shop hop buys, maybe not.

The quilt is so beautiful! I feel your pain. They gave me a steroid injection yesterday in my shoulder. So far, it has not helped. I am praying for you!!!!

Your quilt is beautiful! I can't believe you did all that by hand. No wonder your arm is sore! Take it easy, get some more books to read! And if you ever want to get rid of that cat, let me know. She is darling!

Sorry about your scissors! And wasn't that wind we had crazy? I have stuff all over my back yard that doesn't belong there. Today is clean up day. The green quilt looks wonderful! :0)

What a beautiful quilt and so much beautiful stitching.
Isn't it fun to have our kitties help with the chores, mine seem to think bed making is a fun way to annoy me.

Your quilt is beautiful! I love the cross-stitched blocks. Lucky raffle winner. Remember to take lots of breaks so you don't have a repeat injury.

Maybe the wind would blow them to Ontario - that wouldn't be a BAD thing ;)

Hermione is such a fluffy ball of pretty - I would love to rub her under her chin - that's Z's favourite luvving spot :D

The quilt is gorgeous - I hope the raffle raises a lot of $$$ !!

Did I miss the part about you coming down under to Aust? When are you coming and which part are you visiting? Sadly much of the Aussie tv is the same shows the USA has. I'm always stitching when the tv is on so never really concentrate and watch it.

Hi Allie, OH...what a beautiful quilt!!! It was so wonderful to hear from you. I have been staying away from commenting except on a couple of blogs on occasion. I had several surgeries in 18 months, the last one in March of last year and that one really dragged me down so last year both sewing and stitching came almost to a complete halt. I have worked on odds and ends a bit but nothing big and no quilt finishes. I pray this year will be different. I know you found me on Pegs blog so I'm sure you read about my new machine...I am torn, but excited about it. I saved for soooooo long to get it, but now I feel guilty about it, LOL. Ah well, I know I will love it. Thank you Allie for getting in touch with me. I hope we can stay in touch now, I plan to visit your blog often and get back in the swing of things. Big Hugs coming your way. God Bless my sweet friend...

Your kitty is so sweet and your quilting is wonderful. I had a nightmare around the same time but I won't say what about. Not that I am superstitious - but, well, maybe just a little.
