April Strut Your Stuff Is Here!

It's time to link up for our April Christmas Through The Year - remember, you have until midnight April 30th to link up!  If you don't want to do a post with a picture of your gift, email me, I can put it up here on my blog.  And don't forget to upload your pics to our flickr group!

Our give-away gift for participants this month is the gorgeous 1/4yds of fabric from Lyn of Blue Bird Quilts.

Thank you Lyn, what a blessing you are!  Everyone who links up with their Christmas post will be entered to win.

I wanted to share a gift I received from Cathy at Big Lake Quilter.  She's such a sweetie - she made me the most darling little pouch, and the cutest card!

Cathy, I love it - I'm so hooked on these pouches, they're so handy for when you're working on projects.  Thank you!

I've been listening to the news coming out of the South.  Oh people, please pray.  266 confirmed deaths just yesterday.  Whole towns wiped out.  Thousands homeless.  And it's not just the tornadoes in the South, it's the flooding everywhere, the wildfires in Texas, so many have lost so much.  If you can, please consider giving to the Red Cross or the Salvation Army, they're stretched so thin right now.

[Val, they mentioned Ringgold GA in our news tonight.  My prayers are with you all.]

What a nice fabric for your giveaway!!! And that pouch and card you received are too precious ~ what a thoughtful and delightful gift.

I have been so buried with work I haven't had the news or TV on and had no idea there was a problem in the South....

Once again your project has inspired me to complete a Xmas item or two. Keep up your great effort.
So sad to hear about the storms in the US and the damage they are doing! The worlds weather is a MeSS at the moment!

Well I guess this will be my first month missing the Christmas challenge. I will make up for it though. I am going through this tmj stuff and I am miserable right now. I look forward to seeing everyones stuff though. I saw that too about Ringgold. You ought to see the pics of their little town. So sad.

Hi Allie,
First time to link up with you.. I can't believe you are all going through such bad times too. Australia had her share early in the year. My thoughts and prayers are with you all

First time for me, too. But will be busily finishing while watching the Royal Wedding. I hope you stay safe with all the bad weather you're experiencing in your part of the world. Take care.

Nature is so hard all over the world. The Red Cross must really have its hands full now... Stay safe.

Since I haven't actually finished anything I won't link up this month. The storms are horrible. Our thoughts are with those affected.

Allie, you are very welcome.

Weather in the south is so scary I hope the worse is over and they can start rebuilding.

I've been a naughty girl this month and haven't actually finished anything...have started a couple though so should have some gifts made for May!

Well done to all those who got something made.

And warm thoughts to all affected by the storms.

Hi Allie, thanks for popping in now that I am finally blogging again. Great to see some early Christmas crafting happening.
So sorry to hear of the sadness in your country. We are all suffering from weather forces lately; think we all need to slow down and listen to what nature is telling us.
Hugs from Judith

It's so hard to comprehend the natural disasters and loss of life so far this year...may God on His mercy bring comfort, and cease these tragedies. :-(

Just my luck. I had stuff made to show, but the tornadoes wrecked my plans, along with a lot else. We had 50 tornadoes in our county last Wed. It was absolutely unreal. Our house is fine, but we have had no power, no landline phone, no cellphone service, etc. since last Wed. We aren't complaining because all you have to do is go a few streets away and people have lost their homes, animals, lives. We finally decided to come to a campground in another city just to get hot showers, phone service, etc. for a day or so.
