April Christmas Through The Year

Can you believe we're heading into our fourth month of Christmas making?  We're doing so good!

This month's give-away gift again comes from the gorgeous Lyn of Blue Bird Quilts.  Four of the most delicious quarter yard cuts I've seen in a long time....

Aren't those too yummy!  Thank you Lyn!  She's not feeling well at the moment, please go give her some well-wishes...

I have some tutorials for you this month, our lovely Carmen has been busy!  I hope I've got them all.  I'm feeling a bit scattered these days.  So, here we go!

First up is a gorgeous paper gift bag - no sewing required!  From MeGa Stampin Studio, there are tons of great ideas here.  Bring coffee.  And maybe lunch.

Quilting in the Rain has a great rag quilt tutorial, she's a Moda Bakeshop contributor as well.  Great stuff here.

If you love to re-fashion, Just Chic has some great tutorials!

Love mug rugs?  How about an adorable little cottage mug rug?  Get it at The Sometimes Crafter!

From Sew4Home, a lovely idea to dress up towels - so pretty and would make a quick easy gift.

From Busy As Can Be, a wonderful bread bag pattern.  I really need to make this one!

A Spoonful of Sugar has a darling little gathered basket - sweet.

And now for some I've come across:

Penny's Hands has an adorable shopping bag tutorial - be sure to click on part two!  I think these would be a great gift!

Val Spiers has done the cutest rooster and hen appliques for towels, and she's offering them to her readers free!  Thank you Val!

Sew Mama Sew has a free pattern for teapot mug rugs - they're embroidered and are they cute.

Noodlehead has a great Zippy Wallet tutorial, another must make.

My gorgeous friend Cathe [hi Cathe!] from Glory Quilts has a wonderful Tessellating Stars quilt pattern on her blog - she is a wonderful quilter and teacher!  This would make fabulous table runners.

V and Co. has a darling jersey knit bracelet tutorial, I really love this one!

Finally, Sentimental Stitches has the cutest needlebook I've seen in a long time - you don't want to miss this one!

I hope I didn't miss any!  Carmen, let me know if I did.  I hope this will spark some ideas for you for April.  I have no idea what I'm going to make yet, more than one thing I hope.  I'm feeling the need to step up my game here after looking at all of your beautiful projects!

I like the house mug rug, that would be a nice idea to make to match someone's house. I found a yoko saito book online today, so will list the link tonight. It is a big file though, so need to try and transfer it to my other computer and make it into a pdf.

I was trying to get some stuff done in March, but didn't finish until yesterday, so FINALLY, I've done some Christmas sewing! The combination of your idea to plan ahead and my desire to use up a lot of my supplies is going to be good in a couple of different ways. That little shopping bag tutorial is awfully cute!

Okay so March was not a good month for me. I will be making two projects for April (just to make up what I missed). Thanks again for doing this, I am really enjoying it.

The fabrics are darling! I think that I will try the rag tutorial and use the technique to practice machine quilting on each square.
