Palpitations

That's what my heart is doing....why?  Go look at Cheryl's blog, and see what she did with my birdie!  And then go look at Peg's blog and see what SHE did!  Amazing.  Just amazing and my heart is all a-flutter.

I think Australians have an advantage over us - they seem to have more TIME.  I think their 24 hours last longer in the Southern Hemisphere.  As soon as I drew my birdie in a cage, I started stitching it.  In one color.  One.  Red.  I worked on it most of the day yesterday, and I'm not done.  They used more than one color, and Cheryl even did her signature coloring technique [and added the sweetest pink buds!] and they're way ahead of me.  For those of you from the Northern Hemisphere, who have traveled to Australia, can you confirm this for me?  Did time move slower there or something?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Haha - I think it is just because Australia has a head start - we start our days before you do!!! It's lovely to see your pattern made.... Well done Cheryl and Peg

I was really excited to see your beautiful stitchery all stitched and finished.
Daylight saving has just started here in eastern Australia. Maybe that helps!
Take care of yourself, lovely Allie.

I read "palpitations" and thought oh no your ill! Then read the rest and ended up in a fit of giggles (yes I am still young enough to giggle). It takes me so long to sew anything that I am sure time has stopped completely here!
I'm off to take a gander at Peg's and Cheryl's beautiful work :)
*hugs* Heather x

Both look fantastic, but they did have good ground work to begin with. :)

I saw Cheryl's last night and thought it was just beautiful! Then I saw Peg's this morning and thought the same thing. I got as far as printing out the pattern and adding it to my stack of things to do! LOL

Allie, I know their bath tub drains swirl in the opposite direction because they are in the southern hemisphere. Maybe it affects with work quanity also. LOL They did a beautiful job and you must be so proud! I will be doing your bird and cage soon myself!

Well, what can I say. The ladies have good taste because it really is a lovely design.

Ha ha , it does seem like they certainly get more than I do! The birdcage design is lovely! I do hope things work out for your mother and brother. I had a horrible neighbor for a while, and it was a big weight off my shoulders when they moved out. It affects you in so many more ways than you would think.

Well now who wouldn't be excited? Those are just lovely! It's wonderful when our creations take on lives of their own, isn't it?

And I always thought time moved more slowly in Michigan, since you seem to get much more done than I do.

I went by Cheryl's and here rendition is so sweet. You know if it has bird in it I will probably end of doing it. Just trying to think how I want to do it.

So you think we have more time? Just remember us when we are melting during the heat of Summer...

She did do a wonderful job, but your pattern is beautiful to begin with. And, that's the way I feel about everyone else, not just Australians. I am amazed with how much other people get accomplished.

This is my third time trying to leave a comment on here. Blogger must have been having problems the last few days. I am amazed at what they did with your birdie. Maybe one day I will learn enough to try something like that.

Your little bird design is so sweet Allie! I love what Cheryl and Peg have done with it, love those pink flowers, adorable! Thanks for sharing with us. I've been working on an owl stitchery, but as soon as I'm done I'll be stitching your adorable birdie.
