Oh No!

I've overdone the quilting, in my hurry to get this done - my left hand is swollen and very sore and I can't use it.  Typing is difficult, to say the least, so I'll be MIA til it's better - my mouse hand is ok, so I can read your blogs, but it would take forever to comment so you won't hear from me for a bit.  I don't like this getting older bit!

Oh babe! What have you done to yourself! I soak my hands in a bowl of warm water with "witch hazel" in...not sure if you can get this in the US, but its a liquid that reduces swelling.
Hope your hand feels better soon, my friend :)

Uh-oh! Get those hands a restin' - RIGHT NOW!! I completely understand the getting older bit - my body reminds me often now of that very thing. Somehow my mind doesn't agree!! Take care and see you when you get back! Please don't write back for this comment - I know you'll read it :)

Uh oh! Let that hand rest even once you think it's getting better! I've tried typing with one hand and it's not pretty! LOL

Oh Allie, so sorry to hear that not very good news. Us oldies have to do the "moderation in all things" bit, you know!

Hope the hands will soon be at top speed again.

Not good at all. Take it easy and when you want to get back to it, limit yourself so you don't get sore again. Doctor's orders...
And what Midge said, rest that wrist.

Oh Allie, I am so sorry that you've quilted yourself into an injury! You poor dear! Please rest and take care of yourself. And you know the advice you always give me about worrying about commenting and answering e-mails...apply that to yourself right now! :o) I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery.

XOXO,

Cyndi

I hate hearing that. It must seem like it doesn't take much to get into a painful situation, but then takes a long time to heal. Feel better soon and see you when you are better!

Definitely take care of your quilting fingers. My wrists have issues too, so I try to limit my quilting to one hour a day. Or every other day, if I can stand to wait that long.
