Charming Girls Quilt Club

Time to have some fun! Kelly, from Charming Chatter, has started the Charming Girls Quilt Club. Each month, you submit photos of a project you want to complete that month. Then, on or before the end of the month, you submit photos of the finished project. It doesn't have to be quilts! If you finish it, you'll be entered in a drawing to win a $25 gift certificate from her store. You can get extra entries too - go read all about it, and sign up!

This is my entry.

I had the blocks made, but completely stalled. So this is a good opportunity to get it in gear! The thought of ironing and cutting all the fabric for sashing has had me sitting on my keister.

My oldest son, John, went into the bathroom last night and found this.

This is Hermoine. And yes, she owns the joint.

Was she sitting in there because it was nice and cool, surrounded by porcelain? No.

She was waiting for a human to come and give her a drink. Apparently bowls are no longer good enough, she wants a freshwater stream.

Next, she'll be demanding coffee in the morning.

My sister's cat was like this, but certainly wouldn't wait for you as patiently as yours. She'd come and get you in the middle of the night to let you know that she wanted a drink.

Good luck with the blocks!

Oh my...now that's a full sink! We had a kitty year's ago that would lay in the bathroom sink and wait for someone to turn the water on him - he loved to get wet. The minute someone got out of the shower, he'd get in. Thanks for the head's up on the Charming Girls Quilt club. Maybe I'll do the same as you - finally finish that Roman Holiday quilt now. All I've got to do is the sashing and a piano key border, but I'll probably have to do that in August. I'm still wrestling with that horrible Funky Stripes quilt.

Ooohhh, this one's going to be cute. Just love Mary Engelbreit! I'm so glad to have you aboard in the quilting club, Miss Allie! Ya know it wouldn't be the same without you. Oh, and you've got to stop spoiling that cat--they'll get an attitude, ya know!

I'm going to have get dibs on how to get one of those gorgeous pieces of art you refer to as quilts. Breathtaking I'll tell you.

When our dog was a puppy she would sleep behind the toilet wrapped around the porcelain. Ours owns the joint, too.

Your quilt is going to be great - I love those fabrics!

Thanks for visiting my blog. And I'm glad to find out that my cat is not abnormal! Dunkel loves to drink out of the bathroom faucet too. He's an absolute maniac about it. It's getting old, and I don't know how to break him of this! BTW, Hermione is a real beauty!

My cat would only drink from a running bathroom faucet. She would
meow until someone turned the water on for her. I had her for 18 years
and she left for the Rainbow Bridge
last week. I miss her so much.

Years ago, my friend's cat, Gonzo, did the same thing. He was hysterical!
